1,000 Portraits Project

Concept: While working on her first documentary feature film, A Portrait of Redemption in Five Acts, Director & Writer Gianna Isabella Magliocco set a goal to take 1,000 Portraits of subject Giampaolo Manca. Each day a new layer of Giampaolo’s character has been revealed and the portraits in turn have become more intimate by capturing his many different facets. If one photo speaks 1,000 words than surely 1,000 photos speak 1,000,000 words, but even then - is Gianna able to capture everything Giampaolo has to say with 1,000 portraits?
